English courses                             

We run English classes three days a week - monday, tuesday, wednesday - from 3pm until 9.30pm. Classes are free. They are are open to adults and to children age seven and up. All levels from absolute beginners to advanced. Classes are now for individuals or pairs, and last forty minutes. Students just need to book their time in advance as and when they are available and there is a teacher free. Right now (end of February 2008) we have three foreign teachers plus three local assistants - these are advanced students who have volunteered to help teach kids an beginners' classes. All classes take place in a little square off the main street of the favela, under a freestanding roof built by the volunteers.
